About SIA Hägersten
About the school
Stockholm International Academy in Hägersten opened in 2012 and is set in leafy surroundings in southern Stockholm, close to nature and public transport. The school has around 200 students from reception class to Year 9. Its small scale, dedicated teaching staff and close partnership with families create a warm and supportive community.
Headteacher’s welcome
Welcome to SIA-Hägersten
Welcome to SIA Hägersten. Choosing a school for your child is an important decision. As a guardian, you should feel confident that your child will be welcomed each day by adults who see, support and guide them with both warmth and clarity.
In a small, close-knit school, we can truly get to know every student. This builds trust and creates a community in which students feel seen. My ambition is to lead a school where clear expectations, consistency and genuine care help every child thrive, and where each student receives the right balance of support and challenge.
We live in a changing world that calls for both knowledge and human skills. Many of the careers our students will pursue do not yet exist. We therefore give them a strong academic foundation while helping them develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork and respect for others.
Reading is central to this work. Literature develops not only language and knowledge, but also empathy and an understanding of other people. Books open up new perspectives and help students reflect on themselves and the world around them.
Our work is grounded in clear values: integrity, fairness and honesty, alongside care, generosity and a willingness to help others. We also value community and family. When school and home work together, we create a secure foundation for every student’s development.
Students learn best when they feel safe. We therefore work purposefully to create a school where expectations are clear, adults are present and relationships are built on respect and trust.
A very warm welcome to SIA Hägersten.
